For some reason, my IP has been blocked from Craigslist. Huh.

Not to say you wouldn't be very pleased with your purchase at that price, but it's probably a bit overpriced compared to others. I really liked mine, even with the auto. I would buy another if it were manual. It'd be ok at $8k.
Even though they're super reliable, very few have that many miles for some reason. The ones that do are cheaper.

well that's 1500 less, but it has 23000 miles more. I'd pay an extra 1500 for a car with 23,000 less miles.
I think most have less miles because it's a car that a lot of people don't daily drive. Not that you couldn't daily one.

Oh the irony, in Australia it has been popular for some owners of the Commodore to fit Chevy badges to their cars, apparently it was a $1500 option as well to have your car delivered from new fitted with Chevy emblems, because the engine is a Chevy then the car must be a Chevy! I can't think of anything nice to say about those people so I say nothing.

Grass is greener
Forbidden Fruit
It's one of those two things I think.

Yeah your right, I get the guys in the states wanting the 'proper' front metal but the rebadging of the Aussie car as a Chev over here is just funny.

Personally, I like the Pontiac bodywork better than the Holden stuff, on the Monaro anyway. On the Commodore and Maloo, it looks fine, but The GTO nose just looks better. Hate how tall the Pontiac rear wing is though. It takes up too much of the bottom of the glass, and it's ridiculous that it has a built in 3rd brake light and it sits DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF the other 3rd brake light that's under the rear glass. Anyway, as long as it's not been abused, don't fret the miles on it. I bought mine with 52k on it in 2010 with shorty headers and an exhaust already installed, and evidence of those IMO hideous gauges that people put above the radio, so I'm sure it was driven hard. It's got 116k on it now. Only issues I've had were a throttle position sensor went bad making the transmission screw up some, and an oil pressure switch crapped out so I couldn't reset my oil life. Don't let the high miles scare you away, these cars are amazing, and reliable as a rock.

Makes since. The same thing has happened with the Honda scene in Japan. Guys over there are putting USDM parts on there Civics, and Acura badges on their Integras.
we all want what we can't have.
